Around the globe, there are myriad organizations and individuals tackling the key problems facing humanity, societies, economies, and the planet.  Many of those organizations have learned –  through hard experience and field results – what it really takes to solve these problems. They know what works and what doesn’t.

Sometimes the solutions come from academia, government, science, or research. Other times, they are embedded in the cultural context of regional or community leadership. Increasingly, the world is also finding answers in local knowledge, practical know-how, and ancient wisdom.

These solutions have two things in common:

  • They are field-proven.
  • They encompass best practices that may benefit  people, communities, and societies in similar situations around the world.

This journal has a simple purpose: to sift through through the noise and clutter of the 21st Century information environment and bring focus to those best-practice solutions.
